Update Summer 03 :Class 45 on the Jacks
One of the four brackets needed to lift the body. Without the engine in it the jacks are more than capable of lifting the locomotive. The segmental bearing (black part underneath the body) will be regreased before the body is lowered down.
My thanks to Richard Scott for the above text.
The bogie has had further work done on it cleaning off more dirt and repainting.
The pipework underneath has been painted to protect it against corrosion.
On the jacks viewed from no.2 end. Powered axle nearest the camera has been shimmed as there was too much clearance within the axle boxes.
